How to define ones self? I think men often want to define themselves by what they do or what the accomplish. Batman says it best:
It's not who you are underneath, but what you do that defines you. -Batman, Batman Begins (2005)*
So what do I do?
When I am not inflicting violent vigilante justice on the dependant classe for minor civil offenses I spend my time doing a bit of everything. I am best defined by the greek letter delta and the mathmatical concepts it represents. The triangle being the strongest shape and representing change is no coincidence in my mind. By constantly changing and growing we make ourselves capable of standing up to the world. I embody this by rapidly switching from various hobbies leaving a wake of unfinished projects and unmastered subjects behind me. This helps me to appear smarter than I am by being able to have surface level conversations across a range of topics.
There are a couple things that have stuck:
Tech, Privacy, and Modding
Myths, gods, superheros, villians and what they tell us about the cultures the inhabit.
Economics, and sociology, the formal attempt to describe the above. - Preparedness and Prepping
- Nature, Camping, and overall being an outdoorsmen
- Gym, to both be functional and look cool
